Littlest Pet Shop VIPs boutique arrives
Mon Oct 15 2007
Looks like Webkinz is facing some tough competition. Hasbro’s Littlest Pet Shop, a line of large-eyed, cuddly-faced toy animals, has recently launched its newest feature: Virtual Interactive Pets, or VIPs. Purchasing one of these plush toys (they run about $15 each) will give its owner access to an online world of games, challenges and prizes. In case your tykes aren’t yet familiar with the newest kid-friendly networking site, this eight-day boutique in Midtown Manhattan should quickly spur on yet another collecting boom. Besides pick out a new companion, little visitors can participate in events and games and exchange so-called “Kibble” currency for prizes. Computer stations will also be set up for lucky new pet owners to try out the game.
