Time Out says

Looking for more emerging artists that you think need to be on your radar? The eighth edition of the Young Talent Programme (YTP) is back from November 6 to 22 this year, soldiering on in a time when the arts and culture industry has had to stay resilient amidst exhibition closures and event cancellations.

In recognition of emerging local artists, the Affordable Art Fair and ION Art collaborate to present three Singaporean artists’ solo exhibitions as part of this year's Young Talent Programme. The winners’ works – Daisy Toh, Louisa Violet and Nuridah Rostam – ranges from ceramics to photography and free thread.

This season's exhibitions will be headlined by Daisy Toh, presenting To Return from Sojourn, Louisa Violet with Disquiet and Nuridah Rostam with WovenTo Return From Sojourn showcases a series of pastel-hued ceramic works that capture the experience of artist Daisy Toh's formative years – focusing on the lesson of slowing down to appreciate the moments of growth; Disquiet is a photographic series that narrates the trappings and isolation of insomnia; and Nuridah Rostam's Woven made use of thread, the technique of free-motion sewing and embroidery to delve deep into a participatory culture based on Korean boy group BTS following the passing of her close friend.

Visitors can expect to meet the three young artists every Saturday and Sunday, where they will lead intimate 30-minute exhibition tours at ION Art Gallery. This year, there are also online talks scheduled to take place from 7.30pm to 8.30pm on November 6 (Louisa Violet), November 13 (Daisy Toh) and November 19 (Nuridah Rostam).
