As our quest for the perfect burrito heats up, along comes famous Aussie-based Mexican Taqueria chain Guzman Y Gomez to throw their hat into the ring. The fast food-esque taco shop, a brainchild of NY native Steven Marks, now has 29 locations across the continent. Prices weren’t available yet at the time of asking, but we’re chuffed to see GYG’s signature grilled chicken in a guerrero marinade with Pico de Gallo and roasted tomato salsa, as well as the slow-roasted pork in spicy chipotle marinade, make the trip from Oz. Everything’s freshly made-to-order, with the requisite choices of burritos, hard or soft shell tacos and quesadillas on offer.
