Time Out says

Plants are far smarter than you think. Case in point: award-winning musical Little Shop of Horrors, where an unassuming floral shop assistant and a not-so-unassuming plant take centre stage. Watch on to see how shop assistant Seymour (Andrew Marko) handles this blood-thirsty carnivorous plant, innocently named Audrey II after his co-worker crush (Vanessa Kee).

This two-hour musical is a campy mishmash of horror and comedy, where you’ll find yourself chuckling along during moments of dark humour. With Audrey II occasionally breaking out in R&B beats and clever musical numbers, Little Shop of Horrors promises an entertaining production from start to finish. It’s directed by TJ Taylor and musically directed by Elaine Chan, both veterans in our local theatre scene. The musical is backed by a five-piece band, where you’ll be nodding along to catchy hits like Somewhere That’s Green, Feed Me, and Suddenly Seymour

From April 12 to 28, head down to the SOTA Drama Theatre to see how this famed tale of a carnivorous plant unfolds. Tickets start from $38, and you can score 15 percent off with an early bird discount running from now to March 13. Otherwise, catch the musical with a group of friends for package deals (10 percent off for four tickets; 15 percent off for eight tickets).
