Le Crocodile review Rate it

Since opening Le Crocodile in 1983, chef Michel Jacob has set the standards for French cuisine in Vancouver and trained many of the city's finest chefs (including Canada's most renowned, Rob Feenie). His signature menu items - classic onion tarts, garlic-sautéed frogs' legs, gin-and-tomato soup - hail from the Alsace region in France and are simply delicious. The rich, cream-laden sauces may not be fashionable in these health-conscious times, but you'll struggle not to lick the plate clean. This upscale bistro has - appropriately - formally dressed waiters, half-curtained windows, creamy yellow walls and excellent (though not at all stuffy) service.
