A kitschy, cavernous room provides no-nonsense efficient service, though things get a touch chaotic when busy. The food is solid, comforting noodle-house fare and the barbecued repertoire, from duck to crispy-skin pork, is across-the-board excellent. Wontons are classically prepared - chunky with shrimp and bound with just the right amount of fatty pork to add flavour - and come in a tasty broth scented with dried flounder and sprinkled with yellow chives. Curried beef brisket with rice and peppered beef over rice noodles are also good bets.
