For a city by the sea, Vancouver's restaurants are curiously lacking in simply grilled fish. You can find it here at this casual nautical-themed dining room built on a pier in the marina, along with steaks, pizzas, burgers and Asian wok fries (be sure to try the crispy chilli-coriander squid). With its wonderful views of the inner harbour and mountains to accompany your meal, the (heated) patio is worth waiting for. Prices are right and service is friendly, especially in the fireside pub where staff indicate your table is ready by sending a flag up a line.
