POET'S ODE says
make and dye a beautiful tsunobukuro bag at Poet’sOde

India Flint
www.indiaflint.com

All wayfinders and wanderers need something to gather treasure in, even if only wandering as far as the nearest field.

Enjoy a day with India Flint at Poet’s Ode in Hahndorf sharing stories and a little poetry while stitching and dyeing a silk tsunobukuro bag. This cunning Japanese design is wonderfully useful and can be made in a range of sizes and proportions once the construction trick is understood. In lightweight silk it makes the perfect vegetable bag, in silk satin (and much bigger) it’s divine to sleep in. And the perfect option for holiday wrapping.

Colour will come from bio-regional dye sources; windfallen leaves and weeds from the surrounding area, as well as eucalyptus from India’s home at Wongarah farm. We may even have time to make some folded paper bags while waiting for the cauldron to perform its magic.

India will supply all materials.
Investment $280
