A Historic Night At The Starlight says
Join Preservation Austin, Inherit Austin, and the Texas Archive of the Moving Image for a "Historic Night at the Starlite!" The Blue Starlite Mini Urban Drive-In was named one of the world's coolest drive-ins by Conde Nast magazine, and will be our venue as we explore Texas over the years through a summer night at the movies. The program will include brief presentations by Starlite and the Texas Archive of the Moving Image and conclude with a screening of the 1971 classic The Last Picture Show, depicting life in a rural Texas town in the 1950s.

Each guest will receive one complimentary popcorn, and all may bring their own food and beverages to enjoy the summer evening. Gates open at 8pm. Excerpts from TAMI’s collection and networking run until 8:40pm. Feature film begins at 9pm.

Registration through Blue Starlite. The venue is limited to 75 cars, so pile in and let's go to the movies!
