This is an early show, gates open at 7, family friendly. BYOB (no glass please) soft drinks and snacks available for purchase, food trailers on the grounds.

A very special evening! Two incredible artists from New Mexico, KD Neeley and Miko Zen will be painting live and large to improvised music and poetry outdoors at the beautiful Kenny Dorham's Backyard. Several large paintings will be done!

Willie Oteri and Dave Laczko are at the forefront of the local Beyond Jazz scene, touring also in Italy and Germany since their first release WD-41 in 2009. A track from their second release Temi Per Cinema is currently in the Top 50 downloads for 2015 All About Jazz. They are presently working on a new release and have worked with such names as Tony Levin, Mike Keneally, Dino JA Deane and many more.

Anchored by a rhythm section of gifted improvisers who keep the exploration moving with riff-based groove-noise, Harold McMillan’s word/jazz lowstars includes local spoken word stand-outs Ivanho, Thom the World Poet, Ricardo Acevedo, and others. Past featured performers include Valerie Bridgeman Davis, raulsalinas, Zell Miller, Daniel Davis Clayton, Poet on Watch, Sharon Bridgeforth, Chandra Washington and numerous other world-class Austin-based poets, writers, and players
