The event creator says
The last time Billy Wilson played Strange Brew Lounge Side was August, 2014, a double-bill show with the fabulous Gina Chavez, who pretty much swept this year's Austin Music Awards. In the interim, the rock band Latin at Heart has played twice at One2One Bar, packing the place and generating quite the buzz.

And now, Austin Music Awards "Best Music Venue" features a return Billy Wilson Show on April 11th at 9:00 pm with some noteworthy changes. First, we're increasing the number of covers played from three to seven. One of the songs is a famous anthem of the late 60s that took radio by storm worldwide and is still played today. Curious?

Second, the Billy Wilson show will feature the saxophone as the primary lead-playing instrument, rather than violin. Joining us on stage is renowned sax player, Dave Sayers from Ann Arbor Michigan. Dave's first gig with us was this past December at Central Market North, for a well-received Christmas theme show.

Third, our keyboard player has lived and played in Austin for years, somebody known and loved by Austin musicians and fans alike, is none other than Jamie Hilboldt! Jamie is known for being the keyboardist for Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, but no, "Young Girl" is NOT the cover anthem mentioned above. We hope you're as excited as we are to have Jamie Hilboldt on keys for this show!

As always, the indomitable and inimitable Steve Zirkel, will be on bass. And psst--our show follows Austin Music Awards "Best Female Vocalist" winner, Latin Rocker Patricia Vonne, who's set is 7:00pm - 8:30pm; so come early and stay late.

Can't wait to see you Saturday night April 11th at Strange Brew Lounge in South Austin. Music that inspires and creates passion is a powerful force. We look forward to seeing your smiling faces at the show!
