Black Lives Matter Austin General Meeting says
Black Live Matter is a national movement to end the attack on black lives, focusing primarily, but not exclusively, on police brutality.

Come meet members of the Austin chapter of Black Lives Matter as well as our allies to learn about the movement and how you can get involved.

The UU Church has accessible parking on the back side of the building. There are no stairs, but there are small bumps between doorways which may be difficult to manage in a power chair. Church and blm staff are available to assist anyone who may require support with this. Please contact us if assistance is needed. *If you are a sign language interpreter or a Spanish speaker interested in volunteering for this meeting, please contact us at blacklivesmatteraustin@gmail.com*

Black Lives Matter fights for all black people, and is committed to supporting our trans and queer community, as well as the disabled community. In doing so, we will challenge any attacks on either of these communities, including microaggressions and the use of slurs. If you are a member of either of these communities and have suggestions on how we can do better, please contact us.
