If it's March, BUZZBANDS.LA must be coming to Texas. BUZZBANDS.LA, Los Angeles' leading website for music discovery, will host its fourth annual "Dear Austin, Love L.A." day party on Wednesday, March 18, showcasing six top emerging artists from Southern California. The event, the seventh hosted by BBLA since 2009, will go off from noon to 6 p.m. at Bar 96 (96 Rainey St., Austin). This year's lineup features art-punks Sego, pop quintet Avid Dancer, anthemic rockers Northern American, indie-rockers Dear Boy, gypsy-folk outfit Kera & the Lesbians and "dirty classic rockers" Rainbow Jackson. Set times are listed below. The party is free and no RSVP is required. BUZZBANDS.LA will be giving away free T-shirts and tote bags while they last. Past BUZZBANDS.LA showcases in Austin have featured the likes of Local Natives, Other Lives, Milo Greene, Hanni El Khatib, Cayucas, Linda Perry's Deep Dark Robot, Dead Sara, PAPA, Caught a Ghost, the Henry Clay People, Fever the Ghost, the Lonely Wild and LA Font. This year's "Dear Austin, Love L.A." is presented in conjunction with Heist or Hit Records and Culture Collide.
