COSTUMES STRONGLY ENCOURAGED!!!

Happy Halloween!! Caffeine Cruise early birds can meet up at Beware Coffee (a little coffee trailer with limited seating in the parking lot of Spider House, all so spooky, huh?) for some seriously amazing drinks at 10:30am. When Spider House opens at 11am, we can migrate inside for booze, eats, and to wait for the rest of the riders. Wheels down at 11:35, we'll ride a few miles and chill at a park near the route of the Viva la Vida Day of the Dead parade for those who want to watch. Then we'll ride a bit more and end up at the Parking Lot Craft Beer Party at Cuvee Coffee.

Caffeine Cruise WILL be happening, flood, rain, or shine, we just may have to alter our plans a bit as we go. I don't know about y'all, but getting tipsy on mimosas and riding around in the rain sounds like a blast. I would really love for us to attend both events, but we will obviously find shelter and change things up a bit if the rain gets bad enough, and/or the events get cancelled. Here are the pages for both events:

What you should bring: Lights, Locks, ID, and Cash

Social Cycling Austin rides AS traffic and NOT AGAINST it. We stop at red lights, yield the right of way and let cars pass as best we can. We don't block intersections. We are nice to both our fellow riders and the other traffic on the road. LISTEN TO the volunteers helping to lead the ride. They are some nice folks and have you best interest in mind. If you have any questions about the rules, I suggest you check here:http://bicycleaustin.info/laws/austin.html

REMINDER: The goal has always been to create a safe environment for all riders, but we cannot control, nor do we desire to, every rider's behavior. We promote personal responsibility, and it is each rider's responsibility to take care of themselves, and if they choose to ride with us, then they accept those risks inherent in riding a bicycle with a large group of other people riding bicycles.
