The improvising avant-garde duo The Home of Easy Credit, comprising Austin-native Tom Blancarte and his wife, Danish saxophonist/vocalist Louise Dam Eckardt Jensen, are in Austin for a two-month long residency. Heralded as “the first couple of daring, skronktastic freedom music" by the Village Voice, they come to town with the purpose of making as much noise, literally, as humanly possible. On Jan 29th, they present a night of music with some of Texas' finest improvisors. Louise performs in a duo with kalimba player Ralph White of the Bad Livers which is sure to be a one-of-a-kind collision of musical galaxies, and Tom has formed an all-Texan improvising bass quartet, comprising local bass hero Ingebrigt Håker-Flaten of Atomic and The Thing and Houston bassists Damon Smith and Thomas Helton.
