The event creator says
This name was universal to every Algonquin tribe. However, in Europe they called it the Rose Moon. Also because the relatively short season for harvesting strawberries comes each year during the month of June ... so the full Moon that occurs during that month was christened for the strawberry.

Either way, it is the full moon, and so we shall ride, rain or moon-shine! Join us Monday night, June 1st, 2015 at 11:59 pm at the James D. Pfluger Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge, and we will ride out at about 12:30 am.

The schedule for upcoming full moon rides can be found at http://cycling.frenzied.us/full-moon-rides.

As always, ride at your own risk, having lights on your bike at night is a good idea and it's always prudent to have at least enough equipment to change a flat.
