Come learn how to get upside down the right way with certified Junior Intermediate Level 1 Iyengar Yoga instructor, Anne-Marie Schultz.

In this all levels workshop, we will explore the four basic inversions: headstand, shoulder stand, handstand, and elbow balance. We will work through a sequence that emphasizes the basic actions and alignment principles that will help you establish a home inversion practice or improve your technique in regular class.

The focus of this workshop will be to establish safe alignment for the neck and shoulders. We will use props like blocks, belts, blankets, and the yoga chair to help you develop the strength, balance, and confidence needed to do inversions safely!

*Previous inversion experience not necessary

Meet Anne-Marie
Anne-Marie Schultz started getting upside down in 1994. She has studied with many senior teachers in the Iyengar system and has a gift for distilling their teaching down to a very basic level. She also has a PhD in philosophy and a great sense of humor so expect fun, thoughtful reflections on the meaning of life, the universe and everything in between
