Hailed as one of the most exciting young exponents of Indian classical music, and a torchbearer for six generations of Sitar players, Niladri Kumar is truly a rare instrumentalist with a unique repertoire that straddles the traditional Sitar, and his innovative invention, the Zitar.

Training under the vigilant tutelage of his father & Guru, veteran Sitar virtuoso Pandit Kartick Kumar, since the age of 4, Niladri has honed his inherent understanding of diverse gharana styles and a mastery of technical skills that resonate through the magical touch of his swift, agile fingers. Besides having recorded over 20 Classical, Fusion and International albums in collaboration with world renowned artists, Niladri has been an integral part of the Grammy Award Winning Album "Global Drum Project" by Ustad Zakir Hussain and The Grammy Award Nominee Album "Floating Point" by John McLaughlin.

Niladri will be accompanied by the talented tabla maestro and percussionist Aditya Kalyanpur.
