Life After Breaking Bad: Better Call Saul A Conversation With Peter Gould says
Join us on May 17th at the Holiday Inn Austin Town Lake at 2PM for a Conversation with Peter Gould.

As satisfying as the finale was, let’s face it: none of us really wanted Breaking Bad to come to an end. Lucky for us, the mind behind one of the most eclectic supporting characters, Saul Goodman, is letting him live on. Peter Gould, writer, producer, and director of Breaking Bad and co-creator of its spinoff Better Call Saul will discuss shifting gears, schemes, and swindles while introducing us to the world of Saul Goodman pre-Walter White. How does a writer craft a successful spinoff? How does the original content and tone inform new material and milieu? Gould will tackle all this and more, shedding light on how he’s been able to keep the “bad” so good.

Peter Gould is executive producer and co-creator of Better Call Saul, a spinoff from the Golden Globe, Peabody and Emmy award-winning Breaking Bad. Better Call Saul stars Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman; a character Peter originated in season two of Breaking Bad.

Peter wrote for all five seasons of Breaking Bad. Peter and the rest of the writing staff won the Writer’s Guild Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2012, 2013 and 2014 as well as the Emmy for Best Dramatic Series in 2013 and 2014. In addition to writing and producing, Peter directed two episodes of the series, including the penultimate episode.
Peter won a 2012 Writer’s Guild Award for his screenplay Too Big to Fail. The HBO movie garnered eleven Emmy nominations, including one for Peter’s script.
