Parable: Pittman Mc Gehee Talks Cupid And Psyche On Love Day says
On Sundays at 5:30, we invite you to join us for Parable at Scholz Garten, and Valentine's Day 2016 will be no exception.

On February 14th, we'll welcome back our Front Porch thinker-in-residence, Pittman McGehee, this time to talk with us about-- you guessed it--love. Join our host, Front Porch director Stephen Kinney, and local guitar pro, David McDonald, as we welcome Pittman back to our Parable stage and provide a platform for our partnering audience to discuss and explore with him how our brains react to intimacy, and what it takes to simultaneously care for someone else and for ourselves in our romantic endeavors as we strive to live mindfully. A Jungian analyst, poet, speaker, writer, and priest, Pittman takes us deep every time he steps in the room. We're honored to have him so involved with The Front Porch these days.

At Parable, we pursue the issues that bring voices from all perspectives to converse at the table. Find us in the backroom at Scholz’, order your food and brew from our barman, Josh, and enjoy our local musician’s meanderings as you take your seat at a table. Then, get ready to join the conversation.

At the end of the gathering, we may listen to more music or sing; then, a radically open Communion service is offered to all, regardless of code or creed. People coming to Parable include lapsed church goers, regular church goers, and those who don’t identify with church. We hope to see you at this one-of-a-kind shindig.

All donations made at Parable go to our house musician for the evening.
