Peaceful Streets Project says
On the fourth Saturday of each month, the Peaceful Streets Project will hold their monthly, public cop watch. This cop watch is an opportunity for veteran cop watchers and new volunteers to come together to participate in a cop watch training, and then a controlled cop watch.

This is a public event. Those who want to join us to film the police are encouraged to do so! If you have previously been discouraged from participating in Peaceful Streets Project actions or if you are in law enforcement in any capacity please do not attend. We will tell you to leave if you show up.

As an organization, the Peaceful Streets Project is focused on anti-oppression. We do not tolerate working with those who demean, disrespect, or discriminate against others because of their race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, immigration status, religion, etc. We are also anti-violence, and are not interested in working with anyone who believes that we should engage in violent activity.

Code of Conduct:
Rules:
(1) PSP participants shall not use violent rhetoric, make violent threats or engage in violent activity
(2) PSP participants shall make every necessary effort to not interfere with law enforcement officials while they are carrying out their official duties
(3) While engaging in cop watching, PSP participants shall not be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs
(4) While engaging in cop watching, PSP participants shall not carry firearms
(5) PSP participants shall not curse at police officers or engage in name calling; when participants are being bullied or harassed by police officers we encourage restraint
(6) Should anyone violate these rules, PSP participants shall turn their cameras on them while publicly admonishing and rebuking them, in addition to notifying a PSP organizer

We will be meeting at Bennu Coffee on E MLK. Look for the folks with the PSP t-shirts. Please bring a camera, cellphone or camcorder to record the actions of the police. Also, we encourage you to dress in layers and to wear comfortable shoes. Stay hydrated.
