Saturday Morning Caffeine Cruise: Purple Ride says
Let's Go Crazy riding bikes and jamming out in memory of our beloved, sweet Prince. Wear purple if ya got it! Play His music if ya got it! Please don't actually Make any Doves Cry. We'll start at Flitch Coffee for some BYOB Purple Rainmosas- you bring the champagne, I'll bring the lavender-berry juice! This will be an easy, breezy 12-14 mile ride, with the occasional, unavoidable hill. Wheels down at 11:30am. We'll Party Like It's 1999 at a TBD Prince dance party park stop. We'll end with Via 313 Pizza and drinks at Violet Crown Social Club.

Seriously, wear purple. (I'm looking at you Emily and Justin Sparkles!)

Bring your friends, helmets, lights, locks and cash. These things aren't mandatory, but suggestive. We try our best to stop and mass up when we can. If you do lose the group, meet us at the park stop or our destination.

Social Cycling Austin rides AS traffic and NOT AGAINST it. We stop at red lights, yield the right of way and let cars pass as best we can. We don't block intersections and try to stay in one lane while riding. We are nice to both our fellow riders and the other traffic on the road. Listen for call-outs like "car up", "stopping" or "left/right turn", and echo them for riders ahead and behind you. Please listen to the volunteers helping to lead the ride, they are some nice folks and have your best interest in mind. If you have any questions about the rules, please review http://bicycleaustin.info/laws

REMINDER: The goal has always been to create a safe environment for all riders, but we cannot control, nor do we desire to, every rider's behavior. We promote personal responsibility, and it is each rider's responsibility to take care of themselves, and if they choose to ride with us, then they accept those risks inherent in riding a bicycle with a large group of other people riding bicycles.
