Shoal Creek Forums Flooding (North) says
In May of 2015, Shoal Creek burst from its banks and turned Lamar into a river, putting lives at risk and causing millions of dollars of damage.

We invite you to join us for a community discussion about flooding on Shoal Creek and talk with the City about solutions to reducing the flood risk. The City of Austin Watershed Protection will present information about the causes of flooding and the City’s response to date. The Shoal Creek Conservancy will share opportunities to get involved and be a part of the ongoing conversations to address this issue. Please come learn, join the conversation and share your input.

The Shoal Creek Forum is a new series of 1-hour lunchtime meetings hosted by the Shoal Creek Conservancy to discuss critical creek issues with subject experts and the community. Future Forum topics will include water quality, erosion, spring flow and other creek-related issues. These events are in partnership with the City of Austin Watershed Protection Department.
