American Heart Association - Austin says
As you a stroke survivor or know someone who is? Are you a caretaker of a loved one who had a stroke? Are you a medical professional with expertise in stroke care? We hope you'll join us at the Texas Capitol on May 17 for a stroke awareness event.

Your story of survival, care, prevention and treatment of stroke can help build understanding of strokes and policy solutions that can help improve care and quality of life for stroke patients and survivors across Texas.

TUESDAY, MAY 17 FROM 11AM - 2PM
HOUSE MEMBERS LOUNGE AT THE TEXAS CAPITOL

Every 40 seconds, someone has a stroke. And one out of six people will suffer a stroke in their lifetime. But still, the vast majority of Americans do not think of stroke as a mjor health concern. Help us raise awareness of our No. 5 killer and leading cause of disability in May as we celebrate survivors during Stroke Awareness Month.
