The Black Death A Jukebox Musical Project

Advertising

Time Out says

The Jukebox Musical Project seeks to give popular musical artists who haven't yet had their songbooks turned into lavish Broadway productions their shot at The Great White Way for better or, more likely, for worse. First on the dramaturgical docket, the work of Smashing Pumpkins plopped into a fifteen-minute musical set (where else?) in 1348 London during the height of the Black Plague. Romance, travel, and rats underscored, despite all its rage, by the lyrics of Corgan and company. At the end, the audience will help decide which artist the staff of JMP will lift up/take down next. Written by Courtney Hopkin. Directed by Asaf Ronen with vocal arrangement by Lindsey McGowen and accompaniment by Content Love Knowles. Featuring Emily Cawood, Sarah Marie Curry, Jordan Maxwell, Kim Stacy, Jason Vines and Luke Wallens. Following this world premiere, the actors will take the stage for WHITEBOARD, a 40-minute improvised set with scenes and songs based on as many audience suggestions as possible. $5 (Free for Institution Students) • Mar 14, 2015 @10:00pm • The Institution Theater, 3708 Woodbury Drive
