Time Out says

Some people like Sx, some people hate it, so tonight we'll be heading North by Northeast for some sanity and then returning to the belly of the beast for a little SX fun. no excuses, so let's ride some bikes!! ***** This will be the 3rd TNSR of the month, which means THEME RIDE! This month, in honor of the annual invasion of our city (and its basic visitability), the theme is TOURISTS & LOCALS. So ... who's gonna dress up as Leslie? (RIP) Also, don't feel limited to Austin locals and tourists -- you can totally be an Ugly American abroad if that's more appealing (or easier), or anything else the theme suggests to you. - Tim **** We will be ending at CycleEast for a sponsored party. there may or may not be free beverages provided by spinlister and reqwip. www.cycleast.com/ 1619 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702 (512) 585-6398 http://www.reqwip.com/ https://www.spinlister.com/ We meet at Festival Beach (http://goo.gl/maps/6IYXy) Get there around 7:00 for some social time. We take off around 8pm, ride around for a while and stop off at a different park each week, and then we bike around some more and end the ride at our generous host bar. What you should bring: Lights, Locks, ID, and Cash Social Cycling Austin rides AS traffic and NOT AGAINST it. We stop at red lights, yield the right of way and let cars pass as best we can. We don't block intersections. We are nice to both our fellow riders and the other traffic on the road. LISTEN TO the volunteers helping to lead the ride. They are some nice folks and have you best interest in mind. If you have any questions about the rules, I suggest you check here:http://bicycleaustin.info/laws/austin.html REMINDER: The goal has always been to create a safe environment for all riders, but we cannot control, nor do we desire to, every rider's behavior. We promote personal responsibility, and it is each rider's responsibility to take care of themselves, and if they choose to ride with us, then they accept those risks inherent in riding a bicycle with a large group of other people riding bicycles. www.socialcyclingaustin.org
