Debra's workshop at HI Austin will help attendees develop a clear foundation about photography skills and creative imagery needed to create storytelling photography that reflects the ideas from the photographer. This can be done with any camera but learning why a DSLR camera is still used by professional shooters.

About the instructor: Debra Josephson grew up experiencing the pulse and culture of NYC. After receiving her MA in Art from NYU, Debra continued developing her passion with photography overseas to live her dreams with travel. She started out in S. America and then to the East. During that time, she developed her style and skills with travel photography with many communities. Her work has been published in magazines and online with news publications. After Debra's return to America in late 2013, she went on to receive her Professional Masters in Journalism at the University of Oregon. Her mission to continue supporting the arts, culture and civic engagement though visual storytelling.
