Ready for an unforgettable holiday experience? The Northern Territory’s Top End is not only rich in culture, history and natural beauty, but also home to all sorts of bucket-list adventures that will amaze even seasoned travellers.

To celebrate the launch of Time Out Australia, we’ve partnered up with the Northern Territory to give away the ultimate escape to the NT's Top End. The lucky winner will score a $10,000 prize including a $2,000 flight voucher to put towards airfares to and from Darwin, car hire for eight days of exploring and seven nights of accommodation. Plus, a whole list of activities to book for where you won’t have to spend a dime. Here’s what you’re in for.

Your adventure in Australia’s Top End starts in the capital city of Darwin, an underrated destination that sits in summer year-round and might just be one of Australia’s best-kept secrets. Check into your guest room at the centrally located Hilton Darwin, where you’re booked in for five nights, and admire the waterfront views before taking in the city on a Casino Royale Jet Ski tour – all included in the prize. Cruise around the harbour’s turquoise waters and expect to skim over WW2 wrecks and maybe (if you're lucky) get up close to some dolphins, before settling in for a night of harbour-front dining at one of the city’s best restaurants

For more adventures in Darwin, go croc watching on the included Jumping Crocs and Nature Adventure tour, or learn about the rich and varied stories of Darwin’s traditional custodians on an authentic Aboriginal cultural tour. Take advantage of having a car and day trip it to the nearby Litchfield National Park to swim in one of the many waterfalls. You’ll also be booked in for a scenic helicopter flight of the National Park (including the chance to land on top of your own private waterfall). For your final night, head out on your included Champagne Sunset Sail where you can kick back and toast over the vivid hues of the setting sun.

After five jam-packed days in Darwin, take the short drive to Kakadu where you’ll check into a luxury glamping tent at Cooinda Lodge for your final two-night stay. For anyone who claims they don’t like camping, expect to be won over the minute you step foot into your Outback Retreat tent which comes fitted with a double bed, soft linens and a wooden deck where you can park yourself for a night of stargazing. Spend your time exploring the lush rainforests, rock-art galleries and waterfalls of Kakadu National Park which is teeming with wildlife. Also take the included two-hour Yellow Water Billabong Cruise where you’ll wind through the region’s wetlands and spot rare Australian bird species, including whistling ducks and magpie geese.
