After a year of parties in Laut with emerging and established DJs from the local and international scene, Poliritmo Club is in charge of playing the soundtrack to start the year off right. At the controls is Sonido Tupinamba, founder of Poliritmo Club, along with Ishmael Sustraivibez and Tamarindo, DJs who share a love for urban music, groove and Afro-Latin psychedelia.
Tamarindo is an art director, DJ and collector with an eclectic and adventurous vision of music that's sometimes earthly and sometimes more cosmic, running the gamut through Afrobeat, tropical beat and Turkish psych, Indian disco and electro, Italian and New Age. Ishmael Sustraivibez, active since the late '80s, also enjoys the Afro-Latin vibe, although his energetic temperament takes him more to the soulful, disco, boogie and Chicago-style house. And finally, Sonido Tupinamba is the alter ego of Julia González in her role as musical and radio curator and researcher of African rhythms in America.
