What is it: A Malaysian-style kopitiam in Indiranagar serving heritage recipes, strong kopi, and kaya toast

Why we love it: Inspired by the all-day neighbourhood cafés of Southeast Asia, Kopitiam Lah brings an unhurried energy to 12th Main, Indiranagar. The space channels old-world Malaysian café charm with handpicked antiques and thoughtful details, while the menu moves easily from classic breakfast plates to street-style bakes and heartier meals. Co-created by pastry chef Joonie Tan, the pastry counter deserves proper perusal.

Trippy Goat

What is it: A café inside a tree-lined courtyard oozing colonial-esque charm

Why we love it: Trippy Goat invokes the most charming form of old Bengaluru – the courtyard, the porch, and the large windows act as perfect accompaniments to the menu, which marries European classics with local city favourites. The coffee is sourced from sustainable small and medium estates across South India, and the café features a large cellar from which you could pick a bottle if you like what you were served. The thin crust pizza's good, but the It's Not a Mutton Sukka is not to be missed. Feel free to bring along your pets.

Price: ₹1,200 for two

Opening hours: 11am-11pm, Mon-Fri. Opens 9am on the weekend.

Mannheim Craft Brewery

What is it: A warehouse-style Whitefield brewery with a ‘no crap on tap’ motto

Why we love it: Wedged between Whitefield’s glass-and-concrete office blocks, Mannheim lets you swap hectic work vibes for afternoon drinks. There’s loads of outdoor seating, best paired with award-winning pours like the Helles Lager, Weizenbock, and New England IPA. The food is a joyful mash-up: Kundhapur Chicken Ghee Roast cozies up to Ratatouille, while Gochugaru Crispy Paneer Burgers and Tex-Mex salads cover all cravings. Dessert seals the deal with indulgent hits like Triple Milk Biscoff and Shahi Tukda.

Time Out tip: Swing by on select Sundays for laidback karaoke.

Price: ₹1,800 for two

Opening hours: 11am-midnight. Mon-Sun.

Address: 40H, Whitefield Road, Doddanakundi Industrial Area 2, Phase II, Hoodi, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560048

Toit Mahadevapura

What is it: A Toit outpost and oasis on Outer Ring Road.

Why we love it: Ask any Bangalorean for craft beer recommendations and Toit is almost always on the list. Since its 2010 Indiranagar debut, the brewery has earned cult status, and Mahadevapura carries that legacy along. The expansive space offers leafy outdoor seating for perfect-weather days and cosy indoors when the skies turn moody, an ideal escape amid the surrounding corporate sprawl.

The taps feature Toit favourites and seasonal specials, including Belgian Dark Strong Ale, Tint-In-Wit, Nitro Stout, and the signature Toit Basmati Blonde. The food menu is classic Bengaluru chaos in the best way.

Time Out tip: Weekends are great to be here, as the surrounding tech parks fall silent. The venue is pet friendly for brunch.

Price: ₹1,800 for two

Opening hours: 12 noon-11.30pm. Mon-Sun.

Address: 59/2, Bagmane Constellation Business Park, 59/1, Ferns City, Doddanekundi Village, KR Puram, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560048

The space invites you to slow down over hand-twisted pretzels, warm sourdough, sugar-dusted Berliners, and hearty deli sandwiches, all paired with excellent coffee. Spread across two levels, there’s indoor seating, a breezy courtyard, and a cosy upstairs terrace (stairs only). True to its ethos, the café also partners with local community organisations to ensure unsold bakes are shared, not wasted.
