Whether you fancy some seaside fun or a spot of dinner, there’s loads going on in Bournemouth. And the best thing? We’ve done all of the hard work selecting the best events in town, which means all you have to do is find the time to fit them all in. Remember: if you revisit this page in early April, you’ll find an all-new selection of events. Enjoy!

Year-round attractions

Isle of Purbeck

The Isle of Purbeck is… not an isle. It’s a peninsula. But hey, who cares about the fine print when it’s this lovely to visit? Located just to the west of Bournemouth, Purbeck is basically 60 square miles of gorgeousness, including chalky cliffs, historic castles and cutesy thatched cottages. What’s not to like?

The Library of Liquor at the Larder House

Where better to keep toasty on a blustery evening than Bournemouth’s hidden speakeasy? A favourite with locals, this vintage-inspired venue was originally private-hire only. It’s now open to one and all, serving a killer list of cocktails. You’ll find it about The Larder House, a super cosy, locally focused artisan restaurant.

Originally built as an extremely grand birthday present, the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum is worth a visit to see the building alone. But inside you’ll find an extensive collection of art, artefacts, fashion, ceramics and more. Sea views, murals, outlandish decor and stained glass all combine to make this a truly unique (and lovingly bonkers) space.

The MacGuffin Project

Looking for an alternative night out? Try the MacGuffin Project right in the centre of town. Bournemouth’s retro-inspired escape room, the interactive experience sucks you deep inside an olde worlde carnival. Join forces with your fellow team mates to solve a series of mysteries that will (hopefully) lead to your freedom.
