From the jelly-shaped domes of the Pavilion to its wild nightlife, Brighton's got a reputation for doing things differently. There are leftfield theatres, arty pubs and The Lanes' quirky shopping options all jostling for your attention. Here are some events and places that are well worth going out for. Remember: if you revisit this page in early April, you’ll find an all-new selection of events. Enjoy!

Year-round attractions

This superfun ultraviolet golf course puts the crazy back in crazy golf. Putt your way around giant dinos and UV-lit Jurassic-themed landscapes, or soak up some rays on the desert island-themed Tropicana course. And if you land a hole in one, Brighton Marina has restaurants and bars galore to celebrate your victory in.

Gawk in wonder at some retro-fabulous toys at this indie Brighton museum. The centrepiece is a ginormous model railway full of original ’30s models, but there are plenty more treats. Play on the old-school slot machines, peer at teeny-tiny doll’s house furniture, and relive your misspent youth by checking out the displays of vintage Lego.

Brighton’s all about seaside fun, and that doesn't stop with picnics on its pebble beaches. This aquarium has been giving visitors a peek into the ocean’s teeming waters since it first opened in 1872, making it the world’s oldest. Its Victorian vaulted building is home to sharks, turtles, and schools of tropical fish as bright as anything you’ll find at the city’s drag nights.
