Works in a variety of media – including photography, drawing and painting – commemorating the centenary of the start of World War I, featuring portraits of Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Sir Douglas Haig, objector James Keir Hardie, field medic Dr Elsie Ingles, artists Sir James Gunn and Sir William Gillies, strike-leader James Maxton, gas mask inventor JS Haldane and entertainer Harry Lauder, along wth many soldiers and civilians who lived and died at the time.
