Swamp81 with Loefah and Benton

Welcomed to Edinburgh by Cabaret Voltaire regulars Truant, Swamp81 is one of the most definitive dubstep labels operating in the UK, whose distinctive style goes far beyond the simplistic and well-worn tropes of the genre at its most visible. Named after the stop and search operation which helped kick off the 1981 Brixton riots, the label – led by its figurehead Loefah – has a similarly uncompromising way about it, with sounds which are stripped back and minimal. Loefah will be playing here alongside young producer Benton.
