Rhy Art Fair

Launched in 2015 to coincide with Art Basel, satellite art fair Rhy Art presents work by newcomers and established artists in the fields of painting, sculpture, photography and digital art. The concept aims to bring the audience into direct contact with the artists: Rhy is the only fair during Art Basel week where artists represent themselves without a gallery, allowing the public to meet them. Highlights this year include shattered porcelain sculptures by Mirjam Gasser and neon installations by Roland Ammann, which can be seen all day and night through the windows. Pretty riverside Rhypark, close to Basel old town, makes for a scenic venue. Entrance is free for Art Basel, Liste, Scope and Volta ticket holders, and with the Museums-PASS and the Swiss Museum Pass.
