Dance Festival Steps

As it celebrates its 30th anniversary, Migros-Kulturprozent's Dance Festival Steps is anything but anachronistic. In numbers, it's impressive - 36 venues in 31 Swiss cities, 12 international dance companies and 76 public performances. But it's the ambiance that promises to get Switzerland dancing. With routines put on by dance companies from Belgium, Sweden, Burkino Faso, Canada, France, Germany, the UK, Israel, Lebanon, the Netherlands, South Korea and, of course, Switzerland, there will be a display of contemporary dance in all its diversity. We can't wait for the interdiscplinary numbers - there will be two English-language productions melding theatre with dance, and one with a thrilling combo of live music, dance, multimedia and cooking.
