The annual outdoor festival at Lausanne’s photography museum, the Musée d’Elysée, has an extra special angle this year in celebrating the museum’s 30th birthday.
Visitors are welcomed to the gardens of the museum, overlooking the lake, for this open-air event exploring the projected image. Working with local artists, professional photographers and students the museum commissions a number of audiovisual installations and projected films shown on screens around the grounds during the evening. Also on the programme are activities for kids and interactive installations for adults including ‘Bring your own Beamer’, an open-air laboratory in which you can have a go at creating a projected image. Music comes from percussion outfit Sartorius-Schild Duo and The LP Company.
During the event you can also visit the museum itself – and its current reGeneration3 exhibition celebrating emerging photographers – for free until 1am.
