If you're serious about your wine - and the Cape winelands offer some of the best in the world - you can get a one-stop wine-route experience in the heart of the leafy suburb of Newlands. This second Caveau (the original is a favourite spot in Heritage Square in town) is situated inside the national landmark of Josephine Mill. You can sample the huge selection of wine, buy some to take home, or linger for lunch or dinner. There's live acoustic music on Friday evenings from 7pm.
