Mineral World Topstones & Scratch Patch

This Technicolor pebbly paradise teeming with tots has been around since 1970. Plonk down and delve through the Scratch Patch: mounds of tumble-polished tiger's eyes, amethysts and crystals; with enough patience, you might even manage to snatch a few of those elusive lapis lazuli from in front of your pint-sized neighbours' little noses. After you've sufficiently looted the land, head over to the Topstones factory shop and see where the stones get their shine.
If you don't want to trek all the way out to Simon's Town, visit Mineral World's satellite branch at the V&A Waterfront (Dock Road, 021 419 9429), where kids have the added incentive of a round of indoor cave golf.

Today my nine year old was attacked by a white male at scratch patch. He crawled to behind us then threw a handful of gemstones at her.he also damaged my windows ph in the process.when confronted by my mom who had witnessed him looking at us to throw her he said oh sorry.when i asked if his sorry will fix my new phone screen he asked condescendingly what do we want from him.we left. My dad told the elderly scratch patch employee as we were leaving.the man had a chuckle. They left soon after. He stopped his colleague when he saw us at our vehicle and turned round, they were talking about us because the whites standing around all turned to look. How are we ostracised when our child was attacked. How many incidents of blatant racism is going unreported .totally unacceptable.my child is bruised and traumatised

My daughter, 6 years, loves this amazing place in Simon's Town where all the floor is cover by stones. Each year we go there when we come for holiday ;-)

Fine way of explaining, and fastidious piece of writing to obtain facts on the topic of my presentation subject, which i am going to present in school.
