The drama department of the University of Stellenbosch plays host to one of the oldest theatres in the Cape - its foundations were laid way back in 1965. The old girl still carries herself well, though, her stately foyer evoking an old-world grandeur. Productions range from student fare to professional offerings by South Africa's top performers.
