If you had a trip to one of Chicago's favorite attractions planned for next week, you may have to reschedule those Margaritaville reservations. Navy Pier will be closed to the public on January 19 and 20 as crews work to assemble a brand new Ferris wheel, replacing the old wheel which received a pizza tribute before being disassembled last year. According to a report from the Tribune, many of the components that make up the nearly 200-foot-tall wheel are being shipped from Europe—each of the six legs that will hold the wheel weigh in at more than 36,000 pounds.

The updated attraction is just one component of Navy Pier's "Centennial Vision" project, which will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the popular destination by reimagining its amenities. New additions will include a Chicago-themed food court, revamped landscaping, a boutique hotel and an expanded focus on hosting events and entertainment. You may also be able to enjoy an adult beverage while walking around on the pier—the perfect prelude to a Lake Michigan booze cruise.

Assuming that the assembly goes smoothly, you'll be able to take a ride on Navy Pier's gigantic new Ferris wheel when it opens later this year.
