Dave & Buster's coming to Block 37, Pac-Man restaurant opening in Schaumburg

Today we learned that Dave & Buster's will be opening up a location on the fourth floor. Fans of '80s arcade games and fine dining might want to start planning a trip to Schaumburg, too, where a Pac-Man–themed restaurant will be opening in the Woodfield Mall this January.

With $33 or $44 prix-fixe dinner menus, and $22 lunch menus, it can be a way to try great restaurants for much less than a typical meal there. Can is the key word, since not all Restaurant Week menus are created equal. Sometimes restaurants offer reduced menus, cheaper dishes and smaller portions.

Uptown bike lane makes year-end top ten list

The list includes several impressive lanes that have been installed in notoriously bike-friendly cities like Seattle, Portland and San Francisco, but one of Chicago's new protected lanes came in at number ten.

Metra releases plan to prevent crowding at Union Station this winter

Now that the bitter cold is creeping back into the city, Metra has proposed a plan. The commuter rail organization laid out three scenarios to handle massive crowds during the evening peak period at Union Station on Wednesday. Rather than following these "rules," it might be a better idea to head across the street to the Chicago French Market at Ogilve Transportation Center to pass the time.
