Street Food of the Week: Bloom Kitchen

So, what are we eating?
Slow-roasted beef brisket in a brioche roll with red cabbage and pickles. £6.

Who cooked that up?
Susan Bloom got her brisket recipe from her grandmother and has perfected it for the modern market, pulling the meat and adding rich gravy to keep every mouthful moist. She and her husband Barry have been serving for two years now.

What else is on the menu?
Homemade comfort foods that are just right for autumn appetites; meatballs, mash and gravy, homemade carrot cake and plenty of extras to pile on your brisket, too. We couldn't resist the halloumi.

So I won't need a post-lunch snack?
A single beef roll may not sound like a hefty plate of food but only the truly greedy could still be hungry after such a generous pile of protein.

Where can I find it?
Merchant Square, Paddington on Tuesdays and Thursdays; St Giles-in-the-Field Church, Cambridge Circus on Thursdays; Lyric Square, Hammersmith on Fridays and a few more places besides.
