What did you do for your fifth birthday? Chances are that it probably wasn't anywhere near as fun or cool as the programme of events and parties that ever-innovative recording facility and music hub Red Bull Studios has lined-up.
Celebrating five years of nurturing some of the hottest music talent around from the early stages (Red Bull Studios has acted as a musical home and hub for seriously on-point artists including Hudson Mohawke, Julio Bashmore, Novelist, Jessie Ware, Disclosure and tons more), the studio is hosting a week of parties, talks, panel discussions and more from November 9-13. Mon Nov 9 – Studio Science with Disclosure
The globe-conquering dance-pop siblings give a talk on some of the studios tips and tricks and production secrets used in the making of their chart-topping 'Caracal'. Read more about Disclosure's Studio Science lecture and how to enter the ticket ballot.
Tue Nov 10 – Raise The Bar
A call for aspiring MCs, with the chance to guest on a track from producer Zdot, who's worked with Stormzy and Lady Leshurr. Listen to the music snippet on the Red Bull Studios website, prep your lines and head to the studios to sign up for a slot in one of the vocal booths.
Wed Nov 11– Red Bull Studios Lock In
Budding musicians can win a day of recording and production (with a team of experts to help) in the seriously high-end studios by tweeting out their music.
Thu Nov 12 – Making Music Look Good
An 'experiment and panel conversation' with hot-topic R&B artist MNEK, plus a contribution from Kate Moss. MNEK will create new music and an accompanying creative package in 24 hours.
Fri Nov 12 – The Birthday Bash
The climax of the fifth birthday celebrations, via a good ol' party. There'll be special guests and ace artists who've worked with Red Bull Studios over the years. Expect some great names and equally great tunes.
