Bellaria – which boasts both a restaurant and bar, across two levels – prides itself on using sustainable, seasonal and free-range produce, that is also organic when possible. Salamis, cheeses, olive oil and balsamic vinegars are imported from Italy and the menu features signature dishes such as char-grilled, 28-day-matured sirlon steak and veal escalope. Home-made ricotta and pumpkin tortelloni in butter and sage sauce with pomegranate seeds and amaretti is one of many imaginative vegetarian options.

I still don't understand HOW this place has received all those positive reviews. This is the WORST restaurant i have visited since late 2000s! We took an advantage of tastecard's 50% discount offer to dine on Friday night. I understand that not all the dishes from a-la-carte menu could have been offered at a discount (which limits the choice by some 30%), but the quality of food ordered and the final price paid was just shocking! We've ordered scallops as a starter... guys, i wish i took a picture of that, because all you get for a £14-dish is a plate with 5 thin slices... i bet the Bellaria's chef was trying hard not to use more than 1 queen scallop (those know know more about seafood would understand) for this dish! Subsequently, we had to wait around 20-25 minutes for a main course to come... another great disappointment as the size of that was comparable to a normal starter at any other restaurant we usually dine in. I ordered seafood linquine and all i received at the end was no more than 5 small (tesco value brand) mussels and over-salted pasta... all-in-total, 2 starters, 2 main courses with 2 glasses of cheap rose wine cost us a shocking £50 (including 50% discount)!!! Why on earth you would ever consider going there if you can spend the same or even less amount of money elsewhere (without any BS offers), getting full-sized portions and delicious food?! Needless to say, the Friday dinner was ruined...
The food was delicious from the start to the end. My husband and I went there for our wedding anniversary and we were utterly satisfied with our evening. We tried the carpaccio pineapple with prawns and the aubergine as starters. The prawns were very sweet and it was quite a big portion. The aubergine was very tasty and both were looking appetising in the plates. For main courses we had the chicken and the pan fried lamb both very tender and perfectly cooked as we had asked. The service was perfect very professional and the surroundings were so charming and romantic. It was a pleasure to go there. Finally the tiramisu was marvellous. Without any hesitation I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.
