Outstanding! First time at Table 7 this week at a work Christmas party, it was packed! The venu is lovely, classy but not pretentious, considering the calibre of food being served. (nice clean washrooms too) There is an open kitchen right in the middle of the restaurant that adds to the great atmosphere which is complemented by friendly attentive service. As it was a Christmas party we had a set menu, 3 courses including a Champagne Cocktail on arrival for an unbelievable £27.50. I had smoked Salmon to start, nicely presented, simple, but you could taste the quality straight away. For main, I had the Lamb Shank, hence the review, it was lovely! Falling effortlessly off of the bone, melting in the mouth and the taste of the Jus, simply amazing! Dessert, Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding, a perfect finish! The only 2 criticisms, a little cold at the beginning of the evening, and a bit loud but I think that was due to the Christmas parties! Tried to book a table to bring the family, nothing available till January for dinner. (I can se why) Managed to book for next Sunday's 'Gourmet Roast' sounds interesting! I'd heard good things about this place and seen it advertised but never got around to going. Glad I did, saves the long trek into town for our monthly treat. To find something of this quality on our doorstep is fantastic! Well done Table 7 Really recommend a visit!

Why travel in to the West End when sophisticated dining is right on your doorstep courtesy of the Table 7 Restaurant in the pleasant surrounds of Chingford. A modern family friendly restaurant suited to any occasion, from a celebratory dinner with friends and family to a romantic tête-à-tête, Table 7 is glamorously appointed in modern flocked wallpapers, baroque style mirrors and curved leather upholstered banquettes. The front of the restaurant opens on to a lovely pavement terrace, while to the rear al fresco dining is enjoyed in the quieter surroundings of the large garden, the perfect place to enjoy a meal as the sun goes down. Owner Victor Garcia Diaz knows good food, after all he was trained by none other than Gary Rhodes, so it comes as no surprise to find that Table 7 serves up a menu, British and European with plenty of surprising combinations and interesting twists, which really wouldn’t look out of place in the City.
