With the likes of Yotam Ottolenghi showing that vegetarian food need have no limits (apart from the obvious one of meat, of course), we can't help but find the canteen-style nosh in this long-established veggie restaurant just a little, well, blah.

The venue is nicely presented, with playful touches including a theatrical crimson shopfront looking on to Goldhawk Road, massive TV-like spotlights and pots of crayons provided for doodling on the paper tablecloths.

The menu reaches around the globe: greek salad beside caribbean curry, mushroom wellington, vietnamese spring rolls and halloumi tikka skewers (the latter of which were well spiced).

The Middle Eastern filo pie is one of those hearty traditional vegetarian dishes: a dense mound of lentil-stuffed pastry with a generous selection of dips. Both the pie and the parmesan-crusted aubergine schnitzels skimped a little on seasoning. Plum crumble was actually a crumble tart swimming in what tasted - not altogether unpleasantly - like Bird's custard.

Blah Blah Blah could be cheaper, even though the BYOB policy helps reduce bills, and despite the odd high note, the cooking lacks the verve of the best contemporary vegetarian cuisine.

Went to this lovely restaurant on friday, with a party of 8 from work and all were extremely delighted with service and beautifully presented tasty dishes. We all had a bit of everything on the menu. In the starters, the soya kebabs could have been mistaken for meat ones( note :meat eaters) The chatt was real spicey and tangy and surprise, surprise you could also eat the bowl. The soup of parsnips, swede and mango was different but we agreed was delightful. The goats cheese tart made with
an onion jam with cloves, topped with hot cheese, went well with the basil pesto. In the mains the musroom wellington was crisp and the wine sauce~ yum. The risotto was one of the nicest we have tasted. The peas and pumkin were not over cooked and came with tons of parmesan.I am not a cous cous person but liked the saffron sauce that it came with and also the roasted veg.Thai curry was made with many types of vegetables eg. baby corn, mange tout, been sprouts, peppers carrot, crougettes, caulifower etc.etc. The veg.was nice and crisp and went well with the rich coconut curry. All desserts were given 10 out of 10. We had the apple crumble, indian kulfi icecream of pistichos, almonds and cardamon spice.I had a small piece of the chocolate tart( quite rich). Overall a nice evening out. Good food in a relaxed atmosphere with nice friends. All party agreed on inviting all friends here. Thanks all at Blab blah blah. C u v soon xxxxxx

I was initially taken to this restaurant as a 10 year old and the food stayed in mind...

I came across it years later and I am always impressed; not only by the quality of the food but the presentation is always just as impressive!

Every time I'm in the area, I recommend as a place to eat.

Simply georgeous food.We specially came back to have the halloumi marinated in spicies and the kebabs.Jane had the moussaka and i had the spicy vegetable curry for mains and both were devine. We were satisfied with the 2 courses but could not resist the cheese cake which looked beautiful on the table next to us. This cake was lovely with the fresh passon fruit and finished with a strawberry rose. We will revisit soon.

Me and my boyfriend went to blah blah blah last night for dinner and we couldn't be happier. The food was amazing. The service was great and we had a really good experience (and the fact that you get to write on the tablecloth with crayons just adds to the fun!) Would recommend this restaurant to everyone, even meat eaters! The flavours are fantastic and everything was presented immaculate! 5 stars from us!

I had my Birthday celebrations at Blah Blah Blah for the second year running along with 20 of my close friends, and although the food was very good last year i have to say the food was even better this year, i believe they have changed the Chef,,,,,,,
The Staff as usual were polite and extremely efficient with out being annoying as some staff can be,,,
they had had set out the cellar dining area out just for us , with mood lighting and good background music,
we all had a wonderful night and have all said we will be going back again very shortly,,,,
T, Edney,

Thank you Blah Blah Blah,,,,,
