Bland, indigestible food - hugely overpriced, service mediocre. Like somewhere you'd expect in Guildford, not central London. Very, very poor. (And no - I am not part of some 'conspiracy' to do this restaurant down for ulterior motives. It is bad overpriced food. Why oh why did Green and Red have to close down - that was good Mexican food.
what a piece of rubbish. the restaurant in itself looks nice but the food and the service make you feel like being in the faulty towers.
tiny portions, high prices, inconsistent quality and the slow delivery... waiting for 10+ minutes for a mains (after one had been delivered)... really?
boho mexica needs to get their act together. it might be good if you are going for drinks only, or to be trendy with a "don't care" attitude...
I can only recommend that if you are considering boho mexica for dinner then get an ecg... insane in the brain...
very disappointing. I have never been served by such a rude waitress, the final straw was when a hair was found in the food, she looked at it shrugged her shoulders and walked off. Then had the audacity to bring a bill over with service included. we requested a bill without and informed her why she would not be receiving a tip. The food was bland and some meals were not what we ordered.. when we asked if they did nachos the response was, nachos come from Texas this is a mexican!
was really looking forward to a great night out with friends but this restaurant managed to put a massive dampener on the eve, will not be going there again.
Just can't understand the strange (and strangely similar) negative reviews of this wonderful, friendly, good-value restaurant which puts a different spin on Mexican food from the usual tired Tex-Mex cliche dishes. Is someone prosecuting a vendetta, I wonder?
We've been three times and always found the food original, delicious and reasonably-priced - and the staff warm, efficient and helpful. Diverse, surprising and carefully prepared dishes and delightful cocktails – what's the problem? Perhaps Time Out needs to institute a little "agree/disagree" box so we the punters can give our own verdict on perverse reader reviews like these.
Mind you, each time we've been the place has been packed out, so it doesn't seem like the moaners are having much effect on Boho Mexica's business. Good thing too. It's a restaurant with character and an asset to the area, and we'll be going back again for sure.
Is Time Out for real?! I tend to listen to their reviews but God did they get it wrong this time. Which place are they talking about?! This place is great, i think you guys were looking for a burrito place, or TEX MEX with cheddar cheese and tin salsa everywhere loaded with salt and stuff – the flavours at this little place are what they should be, my mom is Mexican and even she says this is just like back in Mexico. I have been going to boho mexica place for a couple of years and if anything the food is just getting better, LOVE THIS RESTAURANT, go and check it out for yourself, don’t listen to negative people – they could do with a bit of a re-fit of the toilettes but that would be my only suggestion to the owners
Went there just for drinks with all my girlfriends and ended up getting a little of everything from the food menu, the drinks are so good they have alot of variety and the flavours are just so original i recommend the Chile In Pink it was to die for, the food its great we had a bunch of the starters just to munch on and they were really yummy, the place has a nice vibe to it and the staff is friendly, what else could you ask for?
This place looked nice, great ambience, comfortable surroundings. The food however, was very Bland, and i mean bland! It was also very expensive for the amount of food on the plates. I had the braised pork, which was not braised at all, It was in fact very dry and hard. the fish ceviche was around £9 3 very small tacos, covered with salad and a small amount of fish underneath. I would not go back to this place there are better mexican restaurants out there oh and the charged extra for chilli sauce!
Excellent food, this is genuinely the taste of Mexico! The tacos are great, the meats are soft and full of flavour. Good fun and a social night out. The pork dish is very tasty too. Service has always been great.
Went there yesterday with a friend, really loved that place!
From my experience this is one the best mexican restaurant in London.
Food was great and very authentic, I had the "Bistec a la mexicana"….délicieux
Perhaps the best place to get 100% mexican meal in a real comfortable ambiance. Boho has many traditional dishes on the menu : the guacamole is original and tasty, the portions are large and the cocktails and beer selection is impressive. This is a very autentic restaurant that has friendly and smily staff.
My friends and I had a great time at Boho. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was very cool and we thought our server did a great job with us. All in all, I am not sure why these other negative reviews are out there. I am already looking forward to going back there for all of the small plates that were so tasty on our first visit!
From all the mex restaurants I have been in London this is by far the worst one! I am from Mexico and the place is expensive, food is more than average and the service is appalling. We ordered around 7 dishes to share between 4 people and they first brought 1 plate... 10 min later.. two more came and 10 minutes afterwards the other 2 arrived. After another 20 min we started to wonder where our guacamole and quesadillas were. So we asked the waiter and he said everything had left the kitchen but they could prepare another one for us. 10 minutes later another waiter came to ask us if we wanted dessert and again we said we were waiting for us quesadillas. Finally the quesadillas arrived but they were cold and disgusting so we ask them to at least melt the cheese. At the end we spoke to the manager and instead of apologising he stated to make fun at us by putting his hands in his face and said "wow your food took a long time and you were offered desert while you were still waiting for your main, that must be like the end of the world right?" and then he said if you are not happy I can just bring you the bill" I have a restaurant in Mexico and in all the resturants I have been in my life I have never seen a manager acting that way!!! Please don't waste your time, the bill was 90 pounds and we had to go to another restaurant to have dinner because we were still so hungry. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
Very expensive and very poor food. I couldn't eat mine as it was disgusting. Go to nandos down the road!
Really disappointing food at a hefty price.
The mains are small and don't come together. My partner waited for 15 minutes for her mains after mine was delivered.
The food is nothing to talk about about as mexican as steak and ale pie.
Very disappointing and definitely not recommended.
Terrible restaurant, terrible food. I have never received such bad service in London. Time out is losing credibility by failing to revise this rating, and should address this immediately. Its not just inaccurate, its offensive.
For anyone considering going, trust me, stay away!!
Incredible food! The best Mexican I have ever been to. The quality of the food was fantastic, the service staff was very friendly, and the price very reasonable. I did enjoy also the música a lot.
I will definitively go back!
This is the only mexican restaurant in London that offers a good quality of REAL MEXICAN FOOD. The atmosphere is lovely with a nice decoration, the staff is very friendly and the food is excellent!!!. Dont expect to find BURRITOS in this restaurant because the burritos are NOT even mexican, they are TEX - MEX.
The portions of the mexican tapas are quite small but its about quality not quantity.
The ingredients are fesh and they are brought from Mexico. I personally love to go to this restaurant.and I think its worth every penny.
For the second time we thought we try Boho Mexica in Shoreditch, and were reminded why we were left feeling disappointed the first time. We ordered a three of the small plates to share which arrived very quickly, but were just above room temperature. The meat in the Tinga Poblana and the pork pibil was watery and tasteless, and the mushrooms in the Los Verduleros were slimy and non-descript. The only thing that could have saved these was lashings of chipotle..but there were no condiments available on the table like you get in Wahaca, and the portions are so small that after a few bites they were gone anyway. Still starving we ordered our main course both going for the Enchiladas, one with the mole and the other green salsa (i am not sure i trusted the waiters opinion of them all being the same and none really hot at all).
What appeared at our table for £9.95 were two very skinny enchiladas with a teeny pile of rice, all served the Boho Mexica way at just above room temperature. The tortillas were rubbery and the meat was again watery and tasteless...to me both plates looked and tasted like they had been microwaved and then left on the side for a while. We stayed at Boho Mexica for two Coronas, three (very) small taco plates and two (very skinny) enchiladas and we left still feeling hungry and £50 lighter. Oh how I wish Daddy Donkey would resume their burrito-mobile in brick lane, because they could wipe the floor with this place!
What a disappointment. I was really excited to try this place as I live locally and love Mexican food. And I don't mean greasy, heavy Tex Mex. I mean proper Mexican food based on delicate flavouring and fresh ingredients. The reviews that say people who don't like this place don't know Mexican food are totally wrong. The food here is incredibly bland, which good Mexican food certainly is not. The best thing here was the guacamole, which was saved by the freshness of the ingredients alone. Unfortunately the chips tasted a day old and were under-salted, so kind of offset the goodness of the guacamole. The lamb in the flautas de barbacoa was tender, but really lacked flavour, as did everything in the chicken enchiladas. We had high hopes for the frijoles charros, a bean stew cooked with herbs, chorizo and bacon; but this was the biggest disappointment of all. It actually tasted of nothing. Even when I tasted a bit of the chorizo on its own, it tasted like nothing. It's the first time I've sampled truly tasteless meat. In addition to the food massively lacking flavour, there are no condiments on the table - and I don't just mean tabascos (although they should have these as well). I mean not even salt and pepper, which you shouldn't have to ask for. I'm really hoping that the owners will read these reviews, as I desperately want to love this place. I go out to eat regularly and don't mind small portions and the prices here, but the food has to be worth it and in this case it just isn't.
Please, please use the benefit of social media when it comes to customer's advice here and don't eat at Boho Mexica. Terrible experience.
Food was terrible, bland, overcooked steak, greasy. And service absolutely awful. One person didn't eat because they messed up the order. Tried to charge service, we refused, got abused by the waitress, manager was no better following complaint. He actually walked to the table laughing. An absolute joke.
The WORST place I have ever been to. Something has to change here...
A stylish little bar East London with a warm and frenetic atmosphere. Not a great place for Mexican cuisine.
Food is oily and heavy, flavours unbalanced and the portions are taking the piss. Worst tacos I have ever had in a so-called restaurant - not sure the chef has classical Mexican training at all.
Would not eat here again but would stop for a drink if I could find a reason above all the other great little bars in the area.
I would rate this review 4 out of 5 crack pipes. Seriously, did you guys eat at the same appalingly rude, unfriendly, indifferent Kahlo-cave that all of us did?
Food OK, but mole definitely missing something, decidedly tasteless. Didn't mind the small portions as they are advertised and priced as such and the staff tell you when you're ordering. Did mind the whole 'things are served when they're ready' thing when one cold and dried up main was brought before any starters and the other mains (identical to the first except freshly prepared) arrived ages later. Most of the staff were very lovely and helpful, but the guy in charge was rude beyond belief. We deducted the service charge and the (other) guy who took the payment was not surprised. Would not go back in a hurry.
Oh my word... This was the most expensive restaurant I have ever been in.
Not the menu prices (though they were bad enough for small tapas sized portions), but my dining partner and I paid £30 for the three mouthfuls of food we actually ate.
It is to my lingering shame we simply paid and walked out without saying something. This was not due to bashfulness, we were simply aghast and shell-shocked. The place itself is cosy, the staff were fine.
It's at this stage some foodie is going to start telling me it is not a tex mex. I appreciate that, but it doesn't explain why I could not work out if, with the starter I had ordered, the Tigna Poblano, the shredded chicken had been replaced with a can of tuna. I genuinekly could not tell. It reminded me of a bargain supermarket sandwich spread but with less taste. £5, uninspiring, unseasoned, awful.
Then it got worse. I have had enchilladas with Mole - chili chocolate sauce - in San Juan. There the slight taste of chocolate and spices complimented the chicken in a subtle and delicate confusion of tastes that delighted. Here, it was like someone had melted a snickers. As for the chicken I may have missed that in the mouthful I struggled to get down. My friend had enchilladas with salsa verde. If I could have taken a picture of her face it would have said a thousand words.
Three mouthfuls and almost £30.
It gives me no pleasure to wrtie a review like this, I know reputations are hard to build and quick to destroy but surely with half the people on here saying it was the worst dining experience they have had in London, you think the penny might have dropped.
Truly sorry, but truly awful.
Good restaurant if you really want to taste real Mexican food, no typical tex mex food!. It's important to know where are you going...probably the most different mexican restaurant in London...! I'm still dreaming about "Cocktail of camarones"...Amazing atmosphere!
For sure, I will repeat....
In my opinion all the negative comments are not well-founded. I not am surprised why some people act in this manner, posting unrealistic and false comments, as there are greedy and invidious interests involved.
I recently had my dinner with some friends there, and we fully enjoyed the evening from the very beginning (starters, main courses and Margaritas made by a barman who knew very well his job). The staff was basically charming and the atmosphere was cosy, and relaxed.
We were a group of 9 people and we all agreed it was a perfect and consistent Mexican experience.
Maybe one of the best mexican food place in city?went there , celebrate a special occasion and there is a big variety of cocktails, specially margaritas, the food was tasty, the portions enough if you want some variety...so sad i couldn t meet the chef and congratulate her/him for my tasty food...the first time i try mexican food in london and don t feel disapointed. i will definitely go back, and order verduleros, tamal and cochinita....and of couuuuuuuuuurse.....a margarita!!!
I went to this on the basis of the time out guide, taking a californian friend for her birthday because of her love of mexican food. horrendous! this would have to have been the worst 'mexican' food I have ever had. the chicken tasted like some kind of reconstructed whitewashed car tyre, and the serves were stingy. nothing like a fiesta or a feast. absolute waste of money, never again
Having been to this restaurant recently, I am honestly shocked at several of the posts, which say that clients giving bad reviews do not understand what real Mexican food is. I just want to say that firstly, I am Mexican and I think that trying to represent the food here as 'authentic' or in anyway representative of the QUALITY of our food is an insult. Secondly, I am a person who had such a terrible experience at this restaurant that I felt that need to take time out of my day to post on this very inaccurate time out review. For anyone who doubts the truth or credibility of the negative reviews (and has functioning taste buds) try the place yourself and make up your own mind.
I can't echo all the comments I have read below more sternly. 6 of us went there a week ago after watching the tennis in London. We were going to go for a curry but as we walked by it looked very inviting. Waitress was very unprofessional (chewing gum etc). When the food came 2 of the portions were incorrect, 4 out of 5 of the dishes had no taste whatsoever and don't get me started on the size of the portions. When we called the owner over he just berated us and was unbelievably rude and kept mentioning this review in TimeOut! By the end he basically told us to leave and never come back and he will still be around in 5 years time. The arrogance! It ruined a great day and evening we had had up until then!
Maybe some have a confusion about what they expect to find there. The place has a really good atmosphere and the waitresses are friendly and polite...no doubt about it...they know was they serve and it s not always the case when you go to a place for dinner...
Boho Mexica is not a Tex Mex restaurant but a Tapas place!it s about traditional mexican food. the cochinita is one of my favorite dishes and the verduleros ...tasty. i went there celebrate a special occasion and there is a big variety of cocktails, specially margaritas. I had the occasion the meet and congratulate the Chef and this people really know what they do!!!it s not the first time i try mexican food in london specially after livin in Mexico...so i m very demanding and not fan of fat texmex!
Boho Mexica, cool atmosphere, good 4 dinner and 4 a drink in the lounge...i recommend it.
I've been here a few times and I love the pipian verde and the caldo tlepano soup. Plates are great to share and the drinks will make you think you are in Mexico. It's nice that the front windows fog over because its nice and toasty warm inside
I am a regular costumer to the Boho Mexica and went several times, first time ever i heard so bad reviews and i really don't get it for me the food was allways very tasty and the small portion it's something everyone knows because of the TAPAS concept ( it's for tasting food ).
I have tasted all the dishes in this place and i really love the PIPIAN VERDE it's defenitly my favourite dish,in my opinion the Enchiladas de Mole is very good too but not for people that is not used to taste different and strong flavoures.About the service i allways anjoyed the staff young open to explain what are the choices. The waitress smily and fun,and for shure the drinks nobody talk about the big variety of coctails ,all the MARGARITAS are just amasing !!!!
I did at list 3 parties in the Boho and we spended a very good time,i met the Chef she is just excelent and the owner too!I really like this place and i totaly agreed with the 4 stars.
I recommend you to go and make you're own oppinion !!!
I went for the first time tonight and for sure I will not come back.Food was terrible and very expensive.
I wish I read the reviews before my boyfriend and I chose to go there for dinner tonight.... now I am adding another comment to a long list of disappointed experiences that everyone here seemed to have.
To be fair the atmosphere and service were good. But do not be encouraged by that. I have to agree with commentators who said that Boho Mexico was the worst dining experience they had in London. The restaurant clearly has a pretension of upmarket Mexican cuisine, but you will get better tasting and better quality Mexican at a street stall in Brick Lane market. However that is not a problem....the problem is the size of the portions and the cost.
The portions were TINY and the prices were RIDICULOUS. We ended up spending £50 (including two bottles of beer) and left hungry (I had to cook another dinner when we got back). There are so many good restaurants in shoreditch were for £50 quid you can get a bottle of wine and stuff your face-why did i go to Boho......
to cut the long story short BOHO MEXICA IS THE WORST RESTAURANT I HAVE BEEN TO IN LONDON. AVOID IT!
(this is a first time I waste my time writing a restaurant review, but people must be warned. I will paste it to all restaurant review sites)
Well I went once and it was delicious. It's the first time I've ever had GOOD Mexican food outside of Mexico.
So I'm surprised at all these negative comments. I suspect that one of their local competitors is feeling threatened and up to dirty tricks.
The only downside was that the portions are small... but at least they tasted good. Whereas Green and Red nearby are stingey to the point of insult, and less tasty. Grr that place makes me mad!
But let's be honest... it always hurts how much restaurants like this charge. At least make the portions a little cheaper, it's not going to hurt your profits.
I went to this place last night with my girlfriend. Basically I'll cut a long story short. LOVELY atmosphere, nice staff (kinda), good music, really pleasant vibe. But the food.... OH MY GOD.
I've NEVER in my life eaten something SO disgusting. And I really mean that, it was virtually inedible. And so expensive.
I ordered the lamb taco, and my missus had the chicken enchilada. On the menu it says the lamb taco was 'two x-large tortillas filled with...' Picture this. Quite literally, the same size and proportions as a stick of seaside rock. A rolled up tube of tortilla, filled wit dry, cold, tough, chewy shredded lamb, and doused in the most revolting brown slop. It was some sort of tamarind, tart, bitter, vile swamp sewage which totally enveloped the food. I honestly cannot describe how utterly repulsive this thing tasted. Now, I'm no expert on mexican food, but COME ON.... No country would be proud of a dish like that. I've been to quite a few Mexican places, and they've been delicious. This was appalling. I almost felt sorry for the staff and the restaurant's owners. The chef should be sacked immediately I don't know where he/she learnt to cook like that. Comparing it to prison food would be a compliment.
As for the chicken 'enchilada' again, dry, chewy, tasteless slabs of protein, covered in this green slime and cold melted cheese. AND GET THIS... These 'dishes' both cost £7.80 each. So we basically paid £16 for thes 4 TINY portions of the most inedible garbage imaginable.
Trust me on this: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.You WILL regret it. By all means, go for a drink, nice, cold beers, but DO NOT eat there. Go somewhere else for dinner.
Did the reviewer go to the right place? My girlfriend and I went there for an early dinner on a week night. When we arrived there was only one other couple eating in an otherwise empty dining area. The waitress showed us to a table but my girlfriend told her she preferred another one nearby. The waitress quite abruptly said "No, you cannot have that, it is for four people.". Keep in mind that the place was empty. We ordered a beer and a chelada. Aside from being a touch expensive at about four pounds a bottle, the beer was nice and cold. We then ordered some pork tacos and salsa and tortilla chips to start . My girlfriend ordered the chicken enchilada for a main and I ordered the lamb taco. Both starters were excellent (if not a little small) and tasty. We were relatively pleased but then it went very wrong. When our mains arrived we thought they'd mucked up the order. My girlfriend's plate consisted of two "enchiladas" about 8 inches long and an inch in diameter. The enchiladas were filled with dry, tough chicken meat and nothing else. They were covered with a sprinkling of barely melted cheese and were swimming in about a quarter inch of a tasteless salsa verde which had the appearance and consistency of green slime. My taco was exactly the same except it was filled with shredded lamb and covered in a tangy sauce. Both mains were presented with a handful of old shredded lettuce. Neither were very nice at all. It was possibly the most spectacular own goal I've ever seen a restaurant perform. It was laughable. We simply could not believe that anyone in their right mind would consider what we were served to be anywhere near of value. I'm not sure what the restaurant was trying to achieve but they failed miserably. The blow was softened slightly by a early bird discount on the food but even then it was poor value. We won't be going back and won't recommend it to anyone.
I have to agree with other people on here I'm afraid. The restaurant looks great but last night's visit was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had.
The food came in tiny portions and was really below average in quality - the tortilla wraps had practically no filling inside and appeared to be drizzled in squirty mayonnaise, the food was luke warm and one person in our party had to wait half an hour after everyone else had finished to receive her food, with no apology or explanation about why the food was late.
To make things worse the manager reduced my friend to tears when she tried to get explain our disappointment and he became borderline aggressive. It ruined our night. He is clearly proud of the space he has created but his customer service skills leave a lot to be desired and if he doesn't take on comments such as all of these on Time Out I'm afraid Boho Mexica will get a bad reputation that (rightly) sticks.
Well...
Went there for my birthday, and my experiences match the descriptions below. The food was substandard at the price charged. Although I had no specific issue with the staff, service was slow.
This is the worst restaurant I have eaten in whilst in London, and that's ten years of restaurants behind me. I'd honestly say I've had better dining experiences in Wetherspoons. My enchillada looked like it had been produced by a dog who'd been caught short on the way to Brick Lane, and the only redeeming meal was my girlfriend's bowl of beans - although I'd argue it's almost impossible to mess up a bowl of beans.
I'd encourage people to stay well clear of this place - it might do some nice drinks but it's a horrendous culinary experience.
Abysmal, full stop. There is no defence for the poor service, poor food preparation and arrogance from the management that myself, my partner and my mother who is visiting from NYC (expecting decent food) had to endure.
The food was cold. Served haphazardly with no regard to a semblance of good sense. The staff seemed offended when this was brought to their attention and then became surly.
I have maybe only on one occasion that I can remember leaving a restaurant due to its being so bad.
There was no apology or indeed any embarrassment from the staff or management. We went there due to the good rating and are quite perplexed hat this is yet to be sussed out.
We had the most appalling experience at Boho Mexica last night. For the first time ever I chose to leave a restaurant rather than continue with the meal. And then the staff tried to haggle over what we would and wouldnt pay for. Poor quality food in general; sides arriving without main meals (mains which never arrived), other main arriving stone cold, the only edible thing we got was the gaucamole and chips - which they insisted we pay for when we said we were leaving. That and the drinks which arrived about 40mins after they were ordered. We assumed they were having an extremely 'off' night but judging by these comments, poor food and staff with attitude constitutes a fairly normal experience. I'm not sure where the TO reviewer actually ate - but it certainly wasn't at this restuarant.
We had a terrible experience at this restaurant, and was shocked that it has been give 4 stars on time out. Not only was the quality of the food terrible (soggy chicken tacos, terrible chocolate chicken, sandwiches on baguette (!)) but the staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional. We ordered several dishes that did not arrive. We repeatedly asked for the order, and it wasn't for an hour, after everyone else had eaten, that the waitress came and told us that they were out of two of the sandwiches (!). They also tried to charge us for them anyway on the bill. Everyone left hungry, and I was embarrassed for having suggested the place in the first place, absolutly not coming back!and the owner need to learn some manners
I was very disappointed with my dinner at Boho Mexica. I went with several friends, expecting good Mexican food from TO's review. Instead what we found was average to poor food, ridiculously small portion size, and inattentive, rude service. The salsa borracha on the flautas tasted like vinegared dirt; when we made a complaint we were told by the manager "it's actually very good and it's an acquired taste." The frijoles charros we ordered had 3 beans in it and was impossibly watery, not a "stew" as it's called on the menu. The enchiladas were meagre, less than an inch in diameter, and the tacos were so small they were perfect size for a doll's tea party. The main courses arrived in waves as opposed to all together. Definitely not recommended.
I have never been moved to post a reveiw before but the food was so poor and the service so rude that I cannot resist. One meal was utterly inedible, portians were small, and the sides we ordered arrived cold not once but twice. We did not want to make a big deal out of it and certainly did not want an argument but when we pointed out the problems the waiters and then the manager were defensive and rude. The only redeeming feature was the margarittas. Its rare to get a meal as bad as this.

How can Time Out keep giving this place top mark reviews? It's one of the worst restaurants I've been to in London and definitely the worst Mexican restaurant, which is saying a lot for a city that's not noted for this cuisine. Service is poor, portions are tiny, prices are high. Readers should go to Wahaca or Green & Red.
The service was not too bad this time, as the waitresses were polite and friendly. However, the food quality was really averaged and it was very overpriced. We spent 30 pounds for food for 3 people and left really hungry. I ordered a "torta" for 4.5 pounds expecting to get a big sandwich, but I just got almost a canape like bun with a mini steak inside...very disappointing...Then, the dishes for 7 pounds still will not feed even one person...We ordered a mole enchilada for 7 pounds which was like another canape..In the end, we left really hungry. Sorry, but I have been to many affordable restaurants and I think this restaurant is not worth at all the money you pay...Don't go if you do not want to feel hungry after leaving the restaurant...I have been to several Mexican restaurants, for example, several in Soho where for 8 pounds I got a wonderfully filling dish. My Mexican boyfriend is the same opinion.
The food is really disappointing - not the kind of hearty hot Mexican food we are expecting at all and plus the portion is tiny for the amount they are charging... Five of us ended up in a bill of £86 and we had to get a pizza takeaway afterwards. The waiter is very unprofessional - having chewing gums while taking our order. I think it's a place to go for quick cocktails after work but definitely not for lunch or dinner!
Awful food, awful service ! Didnt help that the two guys sitting next to our table were asked to leave for apparently man handling one of the waitresses. Five of us being witnesses, didnt see any such thing and vouched for his innocence with no such luck. The whole thing made us feel uncomfortable and totally put us off our meal....what with the chocolate chicken dish - just disgusting !! AVOID - go to Hawksmoor down the road!
