Known to one and all as Velvet, this warren-like space is dark, claustrophobic and atmospheric. It's also your best bet for a night of dancing in the Centro Storico. DJs spin eclectic sounds (from minimal techno to '80s revival to downbeat to rock) every night; occasionally there's live music (usually local or Italian dance-oriented groups). Sit in one of the smaller rooms and chat, or get sweaty on the crowded dance floor. The tessera (membership card) is sometimes waived for out-of-town visitors, but you'll be expected to have a few consumazioni (drinks).
