Stylishly transformed from a simple pensione to a hotel by its architect owner, Sergio Arpaia, the Cimarosa is pleasantly located in the quiet (and safer) central Vomero. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, not to mention the Certosa-Museo di San Martino, and it's just a short funicular ride from the centre. Ten of the 19 rooms have sea views; most are ensuite. All are spacious and individually decorated, with an airy, solidly contemporary feel.
